I've been off line as I had to get back to Cebu City to get re-ticketed back to the USA on Cathay Pacific Airlines a few weeks early, for work - and to make arrangements for my Cebu to Manila flight.

I met up with Kevin Weir and we both went out to see Lisa & LetLet's Family to get some meals for the kids & bring the Family some needed rice (rice prices are still very high here and long lines can still be seen at the rice vendors when giving out tickets to buy subsidized rice at P18.50 per kilo)

The kids weren't home when we arrived, so we wandered down to the Pier to see some other Families we know & help feed, and we ran into little Marlon (Amon) who's mute & partially deaf, and he looked as good as we've ever seen him - his hairs grown out from the crew cut a few months back, and he was clean and smiling.

I really like this portrait of him, and where I usually do black & white images of him, the happy tone of his smile made me want to leave his image in color.

The food poisoning bug has just about left me entirely; my energy is back and I don't ever want to get that sick again - I was totally bed ridden with fever and little strength to do anything else.

My thanks to Kev for donating the meals & rice, and to Summer Irish for taking care of me when I was so sick; for hydrating me and for summoning the doctor to my cottage when I was at my worst, as I couldn't physically get into a car or onto a motorcycle to get to the hospital.

Thanks for reading today,
PJAMES
