Earlier this month I returned Papa David's motorcycle as promised, as the Family was expecting it and needing it back, and they are delighted to have this bike back after all the restoration work I had done to it (new seat, tires/tubes  & wheel hubs, muffler, mirrors, battery, headlights, signal lights)

Compared to the poor & unsafe condition of the bike when they gave it to me, it's essentially a new bike - and now the Family can enjoy the benefits of a safe ride now.

The bike was abused out of necessity & not intent, as when a poor Family has a little extra money, they feed their Family first.

While everyone here in Philippines takes about the strength of HONDA motorcycles (and rightly so), I have to say that when this Russi engine seized up on me 20klm outside town in early Feb. 2008 and ground to a halt due to having no oil in the engine - it never blew smoke after the oil change I had done, despite being dry for who knows how long, and still runs relatively strong today in spite of its carberator issues.

Good Sunday morning to you all,
PJAMES

This papa David's bike really look gorgeous,am just imagining how poor it was looking? You should have posted one image of the bike prior to this new makeover. However it's great to see that you did make lots of efforts to make it a brand new one.I even owe an old truck and its condition are miserable. Now after reading this blog I have made my mind to make it a brand new one.So thanks for opening my eyes.

Such type of bikes are very rare to see now days as in today's there are many latest and advanced bikes came in the market, the Semi trucks which my grandfather had also become quite old but still working condition.
